Using the default Mailchimp embed form can cause an error if you have free offerings and the same person signs up for more than one, or even other random errors.
By using Mailchimp for WordPress you can avoid errors and combined with Boxzilla, allows you to create a popup on link click or slide in when they get a certain amount down the page.
